Vehicle accident
The Merion Fire Company of Ardmore along with the Rescue Companies were dispatched to 66 Coulter Ave in Ardmore for a report of a vehicle accident / car into the building. The victim was out of the car when fire units arrived. Firefighters assessed the scene for safety and spread oil dry.

Blizzard
Members of the Fire Company manned the station for 24 hours with a full crew during the blizzard on December 26th. Firefighters handled several calls during the time period.

New baby for MFCA Member
Proud parents, Gina & Mike O'Sullivan have a new son and Molly has a baby brother. Seamus Koen O’Sullivan Born on 12.24.2010 | Christmas Eve / 7 lbs. 11 oz. / 20 inches long / At 12:56 PM / Bryn Mawr Hospital / Every one is home enjoying the holiday week.

Multi-Alarm House Fire
Station 28 was alerted to a dwelling fire on the 200 block of Winding Way in Merion. Pipeline 28 & Deputy 28 arrived on scene to a multistory dwelling with fire showing from the 2nd story windows and roof. The Merion Fire Company of Ardmore was dispatched as part of the working fire upgrade and when arrived on scene was put to work checking for fire extension. Ardmore firefighters worked on the 2nd floor and attic on side "D" of this large home opening up and advancing handlines. Multiple alarms were struck, bringing in units from around Lower Merion, Montgomery County, and Delaware County. All occupants of the home escaped the fire uninjured.

Stations assigned: 28, 22, 21, 24, 25, 26, 35, 43, 39, 45, 41, 313, Delco 15, Delco 34, Delco 38

Santa visits MFCA
Santa visited the fire station and presented gifts to members of the Merion Fire Company's kids. Wrapping paper was flying, babies were crying, and wonderful meal was served. Great fun was had by all!!!

Santa's Brigade
The Active Members Club of the Merion Fire Company donated money to purchase Christmas gifts to those who are less fortunate.
"Santa's Brigade" is an organization that distributes these gifts to needy kids in the Delaware Valley. This year the Santa's Brigade collected 1299 gifts.

Dryer fire
The Merion Fire Company of Ardmore responded to the Philadelphia Sports Club at 30 West Lancaster Ave for a fire alarm. As Engine 25 pulled up they were greeted with a report of a dryer fire in the building. The commercial building response was transmitted and the fire was quickly handled. The building was ventilated. One employee was transported to the hospital to be checked out.

Mill Creek Road Alarm
On Monday 12-13-10 the Merion Fire Company of Ardmore responded to a fire alarm in the 400 block of Mill Creek Road. As firefighters arrived they discovered that there had just been a fire in a second floor kitchen of a large house. Firefighters checked for extension and overhauled the area.

Brush Fire
The Merion Fire Company handled an accidental fire in the 100 block of Cherry Lane in Wynnewood. The company was in service for 30 minutes handling this deep seated fire.

Elevator Smoke
The Merion Fire Company of Ardmore responded to smoke in the building at the Sunrise of Haverford located at 217 West Montgomery Ave today. The smoke was coming from malfunctioning elevator equipment. Firefighters handled the smoking equipment problem, checked the elevators for residents, ventilated the building and restored the alarm system.

Stations 25 & 23 responded to the call.
