Odor of Smoke and Alarm
Merion Fire firefighters handled a odor of smoke and Alarm in the building at the Music Training Center in the Ardmore West Shopping center.

Carbon Monoxide Call
Merion firefighters handled a founded carbon monoxide call in a home in the 200 block of Booth Lane in Haverford. Firefighters detected C/O levels, evacuated the house, shut down the heater & ventilated. PECO & township officials also responded.

Stove Fire
Members of the Merion Fire Company assisted by the Narberth Fire Company & utility 21 handled a stove fire with some extension in a 5th floor apartment at the Wynnewood Plaza Condominiums. A fire extinguisher was discharged on the fire by maintenance staff. Firefighters overhauled the area and removed a cabinet.

Blizzard Calls
Merion firefighters manned the station and responded to numerous calls during the blizzard. They also responded to EMS calls in the district to assist the medics with getting the patients to the ambulance through the 17" of snow.

Ardmore firefighters handled a smokey "pot on the stove" on the 300 block of West Spring Ave.

Malfunctioning Oil Burner
Members of the Merion Fire Company along with the Gladwyne fire company responded to a report of smoke in the house on Little Lane in Haverford. First in arriving units were met with a medium smoke condition throughout the entire house. A malfunctioning oil burner was found and secured. Firefighters vented the house of smoke & CO and were in service for an hour.

Officers Re Elected
Congratulations to Chief Tom Hayden and Third Assistant Chief Dan Marsh on their relections.
Each officer were re elected to three year terms.

Haverford Train Station Fire
The Merion Fire Company assisted by the Bryn Mawr Fire Company responded to a fire in the roof of the Haverford train station south side Saturday afternoon. The fire was quickly controlled however the overhaul took several hours. Firefighters worked closely with Amtrak officials to assure safety before the overhaul process was completed.

Snow Storm Calls
Ardmore firefighters handled multiple calls during the snow storm including an electrical fire in a basement of a home in Haverford and a SUV rollover on Grays Lane. Our station was manned overnight which put our apparatus on the street quickly when the calls came in.

59 Greenfield
Merion firefighters handled fumes in the building at 59 Greenfield Ave. Narberth Ambulance was called to evaluate a worker from one of the businesses. The building was ventilated and the company was back in service in 40 minutes.

Vehicle Electric Fire
Merion firefighters handled a smoking van that had an electrical fire at 250 East Lancaster Ave in Ardmore.

41 Llanfair Road
Merion Firefighters along with Narberth Ambulance were dispatched to a car that hit a building at 41 Llanfair Road in Ardmore. The driver was transported to the trauma center.
