Haverford Hunt Club fire

Merion Fire Company assisted by the Ladder 23 was called to a stove fire at the Haverford Hunt Club Condos in Haverford.
Companies vented the building for 20 minutes.

Wynnewood Gas Leak

Ardmore firefighters were called to the 300 block of Aubrey Road in Wynnewood this morning for a gas leak from a 2" main after a contractors machine hit the pipe. PECO had the pipe capped in 40 minutes.

Natural Gas Leak

Merion of Ardmore firefighters were called to Church Road and Kent Road at 10:45 on Friday to assist with a natural gas leak after a contractor pulled an underground house service with heavy equipment. PECO arrived and handled the leak.

Gas line hit

Contractors hit a gas line this morning on Owen Road in Wynnewood. Firefighters from the Merion Fire Company of Ardmore assisted PECO with getting the gas capped. The gas was capped in 30 minutes.

Smoke in Building

The Merion Fire Company along with the Bryn Mawr Fire Company responded to a report of smoke in the building at the 429 Apartments in Haverford. There was a power failure in the building that resulted in some smoking motors on equipment in the basement. The situation was quickly handled and the residents returned to their apartments in 30 minutes.

7 East Lancaster

Firefighters from the Merion Fire Company of Ardmore assisted by the Bryn Mawr Fire Company responded to 7 East Lancaster Ave shortly before noon today for a fire in the chimney that is connected to the wood fired oven. The fire was quickly controlled.

Additional units were dispatched from Gladwyne, Narberth Fire Companies as well as Narberth Ambulance.
