Ardmore tree lighting ceremony

Merion of Ardmore Firefighters escorted Santa tonight to the official Ardmore tree lighting ceremony at Schauffle Plaza where over one hundred people came out to greet him. Holiday spirit was in the air and fun was had by all!

FAST team response (Penn Valley)

On Thursday night November 15th, The Merion Fire Company of Ardmore was dispatched to the Penn Valley Section of Lower Merion Township to serve as the FAST Team for a working structure fire in Station 26's (Narberth) local. The crew from Engine 25 went into service on multiple tasks, including serving as the FAST team, establishing a water supply for Ladder 24, and assisting in opening up the exterior rear of the building. Crews were in service for approximatly 90 minutes. No injuries to civilianas or firefighters were reported.


Response: Station 26 (Narberth), Station 24 (Gladwynne), Station 22 (Belmont Hills), Engine 25, and Medic 313 (VMSC Lower Merion and Narberth)

Truck Fire

Merion of Ardmore firefighters made quick work of a truck fire in the 200 block of East Athens Ave shortly after 10AM. The fire was quickly controlled and there were no injuries.

Hurricane Sandy relief effort

The Merion Fire Company of Ardmore and the Ardmore Rotary successtully delivered the first of two installments of supplies to the Tom's River and Seaside Heights Fire Departments. These supplies are much needed by the victims of Hurricane Sandy.

We are still collecting supplies at the Merion Fire Company of Ardmore at 35 Greenfield Avenue through 11/8 at 6:00 pm. At that point, the second delivery will depart from the station and be delivered to the people in need.

533 Scott Road House Fire

Gladwyne Firefighters were dispatched to a working house fire at 533 Scott Road in Gladwyne shortly after 7PM on Monday night.
The working fire upgrade was transmitted.
Firefighters quickly controlled a fire in the attic area of a single family dwelling.

Station 23, Ardmore Engine 25, RIC Team 26, and Station 23 responded.
