FAMILY RESCUE

Just before midnight, Gladwyne Fire Company was dispatched to the 900 block of Black Rock Road for a house fire. Initial reports indicated the family had climbed out a second floor window and were stuck on the roof. Ladder 24's crew arrived, threw ladders and removed the family to safety.

The working fire upgrade was dispatched. Engine 25-1 responded and went into service as the extra engine opening walls and assisting in extinguishing the fire.

An excellent job was done by all members!

ARDMORE SIGN DAMAGED

It appeared that overnight a truck hit the Anderson Ave bridge and damaged the Ardmore Signage. The damaged sign was hanging over the street and it was possible that the pedestrians and the vehicles were at risk. Ardmore firefighters responded at 10:25 AM and removed the letter for safety reasons.

Shortly after 5 PM Engine 25 handled a mulch fire in Suburban Square.

At 12:38 PM Ladder 25 was called to free a female from an elevator at 10 East Athens Ave in Ardmore

At 12:51 PM Ardmore firefighters handles a stove fire in an apartment at 28 East Lancaster Ave. Companies ventilated a medium smoke condition from the the building

ORECK STORE GAS ODOR

At 11:00 AM Ardmore firefighters were called to the Oreck store at 16 Greenfield Ave fro a report of a gas odor. Multiple business were checked. PECO arrived and handled the situation quickly.

HIGH TENSION WIRE

At 11PM on Friday night Ardmore Firefighters were dispatched to the 400 block of Mill Creek Road for high tension wire that were burning in the street.
