TWO ALARM HOUSE FIRE

On Monday Morning, February 17th, the Merion Fire Company of Ardmore was dispatched, full company on the 2nd alarm to Bryn Mawr Avenue in Bala Cynwyd, to assist Station 28 (Union of Bala Cynwyd) at a working structure fire in two twin homes.

Crews from Stations 28, 22 (Belmont Hills), Station 26 (Narberth), Station 24 (Gladwynne) and Station 21(Penn Wynne) had been battling the fire for nearly 2 hours and that point and Ladder 25 was requested to the rear of the structure in a snow covered parking lot to begin exterior operations. Engine 25-1 tied into an existing 5" supply line and supplied both the fire scene and L-25.

Our crews then assisted in the building with overhaul operations. L-25 and E-25-1 returned to Ardmore around 3:30 a.m.
