ARDMORE WEST SHOPPING CENTER

Shortly before 2PM this afternoon Ardmore firefighters stopped a fire on the railroad in the rear of the Ardmore West Shopping Center. Firefighters remained on location for 40 minutes extinguishing hot spots.

Engine 25 & 25-1 handled a brush fire on Lakeside Road in Wynnewood at 5PM.

Broken Gas main

At 10:55 AM Ardmore firefighters were called to County Line and Simpson for a broken gas main. The area was evacuated and PECO responded to cap the leak.

Smoke in basement

Shortly after 5:30 PM the Merion Fire Company assisted by Penn Wynne responded to a home on Edgemont Ave in Ardmore for a report of smoke in the basement.
