REUNION / OLD-TIMER'S NIGHT

The Merion Fire Company of Ardmore began its 125th Anniversary’s year long celebration on Saturday January 10, 2015 with our kickoff event, a reunion/ old timer’s night. The date has special significance to the fire company; on this date back in 1890 our founding fore-fathers began the history of founding the first fire company in Lower Merion Township. Current and past members gathered at the fire house to trade stories and rekindle friendships that were made during their time at Ardmore.

HONORING OUR PAST

Isaac Scott
On December 30, 1930 Merion Fire Company Firefighter Isaac Boyd was killed in the line of duty when the fire engine he was driving crashed enroute to a house fire started by wiring on a Christmas tree.

Members of MFCA and Boyds family members, placed a wreath on his grave like they have for many years.
