Haverford College Rescue

The Merion Fire Company of Ardmore, Gladwyne Fire Company, the Lower Merion Fire Department Office & Narberth Ambulance responded to the pond at Haverford College today and rescued a construction worker who was stuck in the water and mud in a pond. The rescue took 15 minutes. The construction worker was treated on the scene but uninjured. 

I would like to thank all involved today that made this a successful rescue!

Main Line Infinity

Ardmore crews remover two people from a stick elevator at Main Line Infinity on Lancaster Ave shortly after 3PM.

Carisbrooke Rd. House Fire

Ardmore Firefighters were dispatched along with the Lower Merion working fire upgrade at 18:15 hours to assist Bryn Mawr Fire Company on a house fire on the 600 block of Carisbrooke Rd. Members were in service for 2.5 hours assisting with fire suppression, ventilation, and overhaul.

A special thanks to the Oakmont Fire Company for covering our station.

Grays lane

At 1PM Merion firefighters were dispatched to Grays Lane for a tree that dropped on a house.

Auto Entrapment

The Lower Merion Rescue assignment was dispatched at 4:12 PM to 1209 West Wynnewood Road for an automobile accident with entrapment.
Firefighters from Ardmore, Penn Wynne, Narberth Ambulance & Belmont Hills worked and freed the driver from the wreckage. 
Multiple people were transported to the hospital.

McDonalds Bush Fire

Engine 25 handled bushes on fire at McDonald's in the Ardmore West shopping center at 10:03AM.

Chamber of Commerce Scholarships

On June 13th, firefighters and emergency medical technicians from across the Main Line were awarded scholarships to continue their education by the Main Line Chamber of Commerce.

$53,000 in scholarships were awarded to these dedicated men and women. Three of this year’s twenty-nine recipients are members of the Merion Fire Company of Ardmore.

The management of the Whole Foods in Wynnewood invited us to a dinner after our Active Members meeting.
It was greatly appreciated by all the firefighters.

Smoking Fuse Box

At 6:30AM Stations 25 and 23 responded and handled a smoking fuse box in an apartment on Lippincott Ave in Ardmore.
Companies were on scene for 15 minutes
