Oakmont Joint Drill

Tonight we hosted a joint burn drill with Oakmont fire Company (Delco Sta.38) at the LM training grounds.
Companies practiced stretching attack lines for fire suppression, forcible entry, search and rescue, and throwing ground ladders.
It was a great opportunity to train with our neighbors from across the county line and to share a meal and watch some football afterwards.

Dodd's Lane Explosion

A loud explosion was heard and felt throughout the region just before 20:00 hours Sunday evening. Shortly after Stations 24, 25, Engine 23, and Ladder 26 were dispatched to a dwelling fire with a report of an explosion in the 600 block of Dodd’s Lane.

First arriving crews found a large mansion that had sustained catastrophic damage. Fortunately all occupants were accounted for and uninjured. Ardmore members assisted with fire suppression of spot fires in the debris and checked nearby residences for damage and air monitoring.
