7/5/2026 | 1722 Hours – Station 25 was dispatched to assist Station 21 at a working house fire on Westwood Lane in Wynnewood. Responding alongside Lower Merion Stations 23, 24, 26, and 28, as well as Delaware County Stations 35 and 56, firefighters quickly assembled to battle the blaze.
Upon arrival, Company 25 encountered heavy smoke showing from a single-family residence. Our crews joined Station 21 in an aggressive interior fire attack, working together to bring the fire under control. Firefighters also assisted with opening ceilings and walls to locate hidden fire, completed overhaul operations, deployed the main aerial from Ladder 25 to the roof, and supported command operations throughout the incident.
With temperatures soaring, the extreme summer heat added another challenge to an already demanding operation. Through teamwork, training, and determination, crews worked together to safely bring the incident to a successful conclusion.
Thank you to all of the mutual aid departments whose professionalism and cooperation made a difference on this incident.
