7/29/26 0046 Vehicle Accident

07.29.2026 by Graham Fuller //

7/29/2026 | 0046 Hours – Station 25 responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Lancaster Avenue and Ardmore Avenue.

Upon arrival, firefighters found a vehicle that had struck a utility pole and a tree before coming to rest in the front window of a nearby restaurant. Crews quickly secured the scene, eliminated potential hazards, and brought the incident under control.

Incidents like this serve as an important reminder to always drive attentively, obey posted speed limits, and wear your seat belt—especially during late-night and early-morning hours.

7/26/26 2037 Fire alarm

07.27.2026 by Graham Fuller //

7/26/2026 | 2037 Hours – Station 25 responded to 1209 W. Wynnewood Road for a report of smoke in a second-floor hallway.

Upon arrival, firefighters determined the smoke was the result of unattended cooking. Crews quickly investigated the incident, ensured there was no extension of fire, and ventilated the affected area as needed before returning the building to normal operations. The company was in service for approximately 20 minutes.

Unattended cooking remains one of the leading causes of residential fires. If you’re cooking, stay in the kitchen, keep combustible items away from the stove, and never leave food unattended on the cooktop or in the oven.
