6/19/2025 1729 – The Merion Fire Company responded to over a dozen calls as severe storms blew through the area this afternoon. The calls ranged from elevator rescues, down power lines, water rescues, down trees, and even scaffolding hanging off a 9-story building. Crews from Ardmore were out for more than 4 hours handling the various situations. Ardmore crews also took shifts overnight sitting fire watch while waiting for PECO to de-energize wires that had fallen onto a structure.
