On 7/29/2021 Alex Fischer and Sam Shaffer were welcomed by the entire Lower Merion Fire Department after being released from the hospital with injuries sustained in the same incident that took the life of Thomas Royds on 7/24/2021. All were thrilled to see Alex and Sam out of the hospital and while they both have a long recovery ahead of them they were in excellent spirits. We wish them both speedy recoveries and cant wait to see them on the fire ground again soon!
