3/27/2020 16:45 Ardmore firefighters assisted by Penn Wynne Engine 21 and one engine from the Oakmont Fire Company quickly controlled a truck fire at the corner of County Line Road and West Wynnewood Road in Ardmore at 4:45 PM today. Firefighters were able to control the fire before it extended to the commercial building. Firefighters remained on location for 30 minutes.

3-23-20 17:15 Water Rescue

 3/23/2020 17:15 PM Monday the Gladwyne Fire Company Water Rescue Team and the Merion Fire Company of Ardmore were dispatched to Old Gulph Road at the Ford in Haverford to rescue a family that was in a vehicle in the water. The Water Rescue Team and firefighters quickly removed four people to safety.  The family was taken home on Engine 25 after the incident.

  

3/10/2020 Chili Square Off – Suburban Square, CHOP & MFCA

Kimco Realty/Suburban Square General Manager and Co-Chair for the First Annual Chili Square Off  Joy Medlock, along with Merion Fire Company of Ardmore Board of Manager and Co-Chair Larry Conroy, present funds raised to Merion Fire Company of Ardmore Chief Tom Hayden. The event took place at Suburban Square Sat. Oct. 19th, 2019 and supports both CHOP and the Merion Fire Company.  The Merion Fire Company relies primarily on its Volunteers and answers the call at Suburban Square numerous times throughout the year.
Visitors tasted and judged Chili offerings from numerous contestants. They enjoyed children’s’ activities, fire trucks, an ambulance, and a police canine. Average Joes supplied refreshments Garden Style outside and music entertainment was provided. Kimco Realty is committed to this event and expects it to grow annually in support of these two great  causes.
Next years event will be on Sat. Oct 17th, 2020.
