12/15/2022 16:14 – The Merion Fire Company responded to 100 Llanalew Rd in Haverford for a report of a fire in one of the condominium units. Chief 25, first on scene, found heavy fire showing and called for the 2nd alarm bringing assistance from all of the Lower Merion Fire Companies. The crew from the first arriving engine, Engine 25, put up a tremendous effort, forcing their way into the burning unit and quickly getting the fire knocked down and preventing it from spreading to any other units in the mid-sized complex. The combined efforts of all those involved kept what could have been a catastrophic fire contained to one unit with no civilian injuries. The cause of the fire is not known at this time.
