3/7/2024 22:04 – The Merion Fire Company of Ardmore along with an Engine from the Bryn Mawr Fire Company was dispatched to the Haverford train station for a train on fire. The first arriving firefighters had a diesel locomotive on fire on a westbound center track. Firefighters set up command, extended hose lines, and operated alongside Amtrak supervisors to control the situation safely. The Incident Commander (Hayden) placed the fire under control at 4 minutes passed midnight. There were no injuries.
