9/22/2026 | 0851 Hours – Station 25 responded to 257 E. Lancaster Ave. for a report of a person trapped in an elevator.
Upon arrival, Ardmore firefighters located the occupied elevator and confirmed that one person was trapped inside. Crews secured the elevator to ensure it could not move unexpectedly and then worked to safely extricate the occupant.
The individual was successfully removed from the elevator, and crews cleared the scene.
Elevator emergencies are another example of the wide variety of calls our volunteers train to handle. Whether it’s a fire, rescue, or other emergency, Station 25 is ready to respond when our community needs us.
