9/30/2026 1800 Lower Merion Township Demonstration

10.01.2026 by Graham Fuller //

9/30/2026 | 1800 Hours – Station 25 – Merion Fire Company of Ardmore joined our fellow Lower Merion fire companies and public safety partners for a special evening showcasing the training, equipment, capabilities, and teamwork of our emergency services.

Joining us were Station 21 – Penn Wynne-Overbrook Hills Fire Company, Station 22 – Belmont Hills Fire Company, Station 23 – Bryn Mawr Fire Company, Station 24 – Gladwyne Fire Company, Station 26 – Narberth Fire Company, Station 28 – Union Fire Association of Lower Merion, Narberth Ambulance, the Lower Merion Fire Marshal’s Office, and the Lower Merion Police Department.

Members of the Lower Merion Board of Commissioners, Narberth Borough Council, School Board officials, and other invited guests had the opportunity to get a firsthand look at the tremendous resources and capabilities available to our community.

The evening began with an apparatus and equipment showcase, giving guests the opportunity to see our emergency vehicles and specialized equipment up close and speak directly with firefighters and other first responders about their capabilities.

The showcase was followed by two scenario-based demonstrations: a vehicle rescue, where crews demonstrated the equipment and techniques used to safely extricate occupants following a serious crash, and a live-fire building demonstration, highlighting the coordinated fireground operations and tactics required to bring a structure fire under control.

Events like this provide an important look behind the scenes at what it takes to respond when an emergency occurs. Apparatus and equipment are important, but it is the training, preparation, communication, and teamwork of our first responders that bring all of those resources together when our community needs them most.

Station 25 was proud to participate alongside our fellow Lower Merion firefighters, police officers, EMS personnel, and fire officials and showcase the tremendous capabilities of our public safety team.

8/7/26 1434 Building Fire

08.07.2026 by Graham Fuller //

8/7/2026 | 1434 Hours – Station 25 responded with Stations 21, 23, 26, and 28 to the 100 block of Grandview Road for a reported house fire.

Chief 25 arrived to find smoke showing from the rear of the residence and heard calls for help coming from inside the first floor. Chief 25 and Fire Marshal Gulliver immediately entered the home and safely evacuated two elderly women through the front of the structure.

Ladder 25 arrived shortly behind Engine 25, and its crew began a search of the second floor. Firefighters located a male occupant who was unaware that the house was on fire and safely evacuated him from the residence.

Crews quickly located and knocked down the fire before beginning ventilation and overhaul operations.

Great work by all companies involved in bringing this incident under control and safely removing all occupants from the home.
