🔥 Chimney Fire Safety Reminder: As temperatures drop and fireplace season begins, it’s important to make sure your chimney is ready for use!
- Have your chimney inspected and cleaned annually by a qualified professional.
- Burn only properly seasoned, dry firewood.
- Never leave a fire unattended.
- Make sure smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are working properly.
If you suspect a chimney fire, evacuate your home and call 911 immediately.
Another great example of teamwork between the volunteer firefighters of the Lower Merion Fire Department, working together to keep our communities safe!
