8/17/2026 | 1208 Hours – Station 25 responded to 225 Cobblestone Drive in Ardmore for a fire alarm that was quickly upgraded to a building fire after reports of smoke in the hallway.
Upon arrival, Ardmore firefighters encountered smoke in the first-floor hallway and began investigating the source. Crews traced the smoke to an apartment where they discovered heavily burned food.
Once firefighters confirmed there was no active fire or extension, the additional building fire assignment was canceled. Station 25 units remained on scene to ventilate the building and clear the remaining smoke before returning to service.
This incident is a good reminder to never leave cooking unattended—even a small cooking incident can quickly fill a home or building with smoke.
