5/2/2026 1142 – Stations 25, 23, 26, 24, and 21 responded to St. George’s Rd in Suburban Square for a reported fire in a store.  First in crews found a haze in the store and checked both the HVAC units on the roof and the basement. While nothing was immediately evident, crews worked with PECO to find an electrical issue that PECO was able to resolve.

4/30/2026 1351 – Station 25 and Engine 23 responded to 100 Coulter Place in Suburban Square for a car fire.  The fire was handled quickly.

4/27/2026 2151 – The Merion Fire Company of Ardmore was dispatched to the rear of the apartments at 170 Lakeside Road for an unknown type of fire. Engine 25 arrived with a working underground fire near the alley of the shopping center at 270 East Lancaster Ave. A hose line was stretched to control the spread of fire, and all stores were evacuated and checked for smoke. High levels of Carbon Monoxide were found in several stores. The Narberth Fire Company, along with the Lower Merion Fire Department Fire Marshal’s Office, Narberth Ambulance, and PECO were called to the scene. The initial fire and smoke were controlled in 4 hours. The scene was turned over to PECO and the Fire Marshals.
