8/29/2024 1003 – Ladder and Engine 25 handled a gas meter that was struck by a car at the Ardmore Nissan dealership on Lancaster Ave.

8/28/2024 2116 – The Merion Fire Company aided by the Lower Merion Working Fire dispatch responded to a working house fire at 220 Greenfield Ave. First arriving crews had heavy smoke showing and a report of multiple people trapped in the home. Crews immediately entered the home with fire conditions and zero viability on the second floor of the house. A primary search was performed and 2 victims were brought out of the home. Firefighters simultaneously knocked down the fire, placed ladders at all windows, performed vent / enter / searches, and completed a secondary search in case of additional victims. Unfortunately, both people passed away from their injuries. Our prayers and thoughts are with the family and the entire neighborhood.

All the firefighters did an amazing and professional job and are commended for their actions, courage & teamwork.

8/27/2024 1415 – Engine 25 handled the second elevator rescue in 90 minutes at 257 East Lancaster Ave.
