10/6/2026 2048 Building Investigation

10.07.2026 by Graham Fuller //

10/6/2026 | 2048 Hours – Station 25 responded to an apartment building at 4 E. Athens Ave. for an investigation after a resident accidentally dropped burning incense inside their second-floor unit.

Ardmore firefighters checked the apartment and surrounding area to ensure the incense had not ignited any nearby materials or created a hidden fire hazard. After confirming everything was safe, crews cleared the scene and returned to service.

Even a small burning item can lead to a larger fire if it comes in contact with combustible materials. If you’re ever unsure whether something may still be smoldering or burning, don’t hesitate to call 911 and let the fire department check it out.
