7/20/26 1900 Drill Night

07.21.2026 by Graham Fuller //

7/20/2026 | 1900 Hours – Training never stops at Station 25!

More than 20 members of the Merion Fire Company participated in live fire training Monday evening at the Lower Merion Burn Tower. Firefighters trained in realistic fireground scenarios, sharpening their skills in fire attack, search, teamwork, and decision-making in a controlled environment.

Back at the station, four additional members spent the evening participating in driver/operator training, building the knowledge and experience needed to safely operate our apparatus during emergency responses.

Whether it’s inside the burn building or behind the wheel of a fire apparatus, every training opportunity helps prepare our volunteers to provide the highest level of service to the residents and visitors of Ardmore and Lower Merion Township.

07.20.2026 by Graham Fuller //

7/19/2026 | 1642 Hours – Station 25 responded to assist Station 26 at 325 Penn Road for a reported dryer fire.

Upon arrival, crews investigated and determined the dryer was malfunctioning but there was no active fire. Firefighters secured the appliance, ensured there was no extension or additional hazard, and placed the incident under control.

Quick investigation of reported appliance fires helps prevent small problems from becoming larger emergencies. If you notice unusual odors, smoke, or your dryer is not operating properly, discontinue use and have it inspected before using it again.

7/17/26 2155 Vehicle Accident

07.20.2026 by Graham Fuller //

7/17/2026 | 2155 Hours – Station 25 responded to the intersection of Church Road and Argyle Road for a reported vehicle rollover.

Upon arrival, firefighters found the vehicle upside-down and immediately stabilized it to prevent further movement. Crews confirmed the occupant had safely exited the vehicle, secured the scene, and remained on location until a recovery unit arrived to remove the vehicle.

Thankfully, the occupant was able to get out safely. Incidents like these highlight the importance of wearing your seat belt and driving cautiously, especially during nighttime travel.
