10/16/2026 1302 Vehicle Accident

10/16/2026 | 1302 Hours – Engine 25 and Engine 26 responded to the 300 block of E. Montgomery Avenue in Wynnewood for a reported head-on motor vehicle collision with injuries.

Ardmore and Narberth firefighters responded to assist at the scene of the two-vehicle accident, working together to address potential hazards and support emergency operations.

Head-on collisions can result in serious injuries and require a coordinated response from fire, police, and emergency medical personnel.

🚒 Safety Reminder: Always remain alert behind the wheel, avoid distractions, and maintain a safe speed for road and traffic conditions. A moment of inattention can have serious consequences.

10/15/2026 1035 Steam Leak

10/15/2026 | 1035 Hours – Station 25 responded to 300 E. Lancaster Avenue in Ardmore for a reported steam leak in the sub-basement of the building.

Upon arrival, crews from Engine 25 and Ladder 25 began investigating the situation and worked to secure the affected area and address potential hazards associated with the steam leak.

Ardmore firefighters operated on scene for approximately 50 minutes, working to make the area safe before returning to service.

While fires and rescues often receive the most attention, our volunteers respond to a wide variety of emergencies. Steam leaks and other mechanical system failures can create dangerous conditions that require careful investigation and a coordinated response.

Another example of the many ways Station 25 serves and protects our community every day! 🚒

10/13/2026 1253 Broken Sprinkler Pipe

10/13/2026 | 1253 Hours – Station 25 responded to 2 E. Lancaster Avenue in Ardmore for a reported water flow alarm.

First-arriving crews discovered a broken sprinkler pipe on the second floor, sending a significant amount of water down into the retail space on the first floor.

Ardmore firefighters quickly went to work to limit the damage, deploying all available salvage tarps to protect merchandise and property from the falling water. With additional tarps needed, Station 21 – Penn Wynne-Overbrook Hills Fire Company was requested to assist.

Crews also worked to remove standing water using squeegees and secured the water supply to stop the flooding.

While firefighters are best known for putting out fires, protecting property and minimizing damage are also important parts of what we do! Incidents like this demonstrate the many different ways our volunteers serve the community and the importance of teamwork between our Lower Merion fire companies.
