04/10/2026 1447 – Stations 25 and 26, along with engines 21, 23, 24, and RIT 28, were dispatched for a building fire at 219 Lancaster Ave in Ardmore.  First arriving units found heavy smoke on the second floor of the service department at Ardmore Toyota. The Working Fire dispatch was transmitted, bringing additional units from Manoa, Brookline, and Oakmont in Haverford Township. Both Lancaster Ave and Church Rd were closed during operations. The fire was quickly contained and extinguished, and the affected areas were overhauled. Crews took up just after 1600.

   

04/09/2026 1326 – The Merion Fire Company was dispatched to 49 Rittenhouse Place for a fire alarm. Burnt food in a second-floor apartment had set off the alarm.

4/6/2026 – The Merion Fire Company of Ardmore extends our deepest condolences to the members and families of Walnuttown Fire and Rescue as they mourn the loss of Fire Chief Jeff Buck and Assistant Fire Chief Rob Shick. The members, families, and friends of Walnuttown are in our thoughts and prayers.
