8/7/2025 1900 – Congratulations to Lu Laurino and Ryan Levy on their graduation from The Bucks County Firefighter 1 Program! The Merion Fire Company commends you both on your hard work and dedication!

For those not familiar with the Firefighter I certification, it is over 180 hours of classroom and hands-on practical evolutions covering all aspects of firefighting from packing hose to communications and from hazardous materials training to live fire evaluations. It is a tremendous amount of work, and we could not be prouder of our firefighters!

8/5/2025 1800 – The Merion Fire Company brought an Engine, Ladder, and Command Vehicle to the National Night Out. We gave tours of the ladder, members climbed the main, and our new Women’s Committee was selling t-shirts! We had great public interaction and a million good questions from kids and adults alike! What a great night!

8/4/2025 0840 – Station 25, assisted by Engine 23, and Narberth Ambulance 313, responded to the Ardmore train station for the report of a SEPTA train on fire. Firefighters assisted with evacuations from the train and secured the scene until SEPTA maintenance arrived on the scene.
