7/17/26 1314 Struck Gas Line

07.20.2026 by Graham Fuller //

7/17/2026 | 1314 Hours – Station 25 responded to 60 Coulter Ave. in Suburban Square for a report of a damaged gas line.

Upon arrival, firefighters evacuated three stores, shut down the street, controlled the leak and ventilated underground. The situation was declared under control by Command in one hour. Once PECO arrived on scene and assumed responsibility for the incident, the scene was turned over to their crews.

Natural gas emergencies require a coordinated response to ensure the safety of the public and first responders. We appreciate the cooperation of those in the area while the incident was safely mitigated.

7/13/26 1517 CO Alarm

07.20.2026 by Graham Fuller //

7/13/2026 | 1517 Hours – Station 25 responded to Grays Lane in Haverford for a carbon monoxide incident.

During the response, Ardmore firefighters helped remove the family’s pets—a dog and a rabbit—from the affected home and into fresh air while crews worked to mitigate the incident.

We’re happy to report that both the dog and the rabbit are doing just fine! 🐶🐰

Incidents like these are a reminder that pets are family too, and we’re always glad when both people and animals have a safe outcome.
